Michelle + Nate

Life works in mysterious ways.

Michelle attended the wedding of a long-time friend in April of 2015. Little did she know she would meet her future husband at that same wedding.

Enter Nate.

He left quite the impression and they stayed in touch despite her living in New York City and he in San Diego. After several months of phone calls and some back and forth getaways to each others coasts,  Michelle decided she was up for something new (read: IN LOVE) and wanted to give San Diego its due. It was not long after her move that he popped the question and she said "YES!".

Their wedding and reception took place at their private residence. It was the perfect SoCal Fiesta - complete with an all female mariachi band! - with a mid-century modern twist in the decor. I was delighted to consult with Michelle during her planning process and provide my coordination services the day of the wedding.

The home was dressed in details here and there where guests would be gathered throughout the course of the evening.

The ceremony took place in the back yard with a gorgeous DIY backdrop executed flawlessly by the couple.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the house while Michelle and Nate caught the sunset. While they were gone the backyard was converted for the reception.

Small succulent plants were the favors that came from Pigment - a favorite local shop of the couple!

When Michelle and Nate's returned, dinner was served while being serenaded by the musical stylings of The Mariachi Divinas!

Michelle and Nate had their cake and churros too!

Their day was the ultimate house party with the perfect amount of scene changes to keep the guests curious what was next! The unified feel between the outdoor and indoor space made the movement between them seamless. Michelle collaborated with a well balanced cocktail of vendors to realize her vision within her warm and inviting space.  It was my pleasure to be a part of their special day in such a beautiful and intimate setting!
